HIKING PILGRIMAGE TO ATHOS

PROGRAM
- 8:30 - Meeting with the guide at the Pilgrimage Bureau in Ouranoupoli.
- Passing the COVID-19 tests.
- Receiving the diamonitrios.
- Departure to Athos by ferry at 9:50 (tickets are paid on the spot).
- Arrival in the Monastery of Doha.
- Worshiping the icon "Our Lady of Mercy".
- Trekking to the Monastery of Xenophon.
- Accommodation in the monastery.
- Partaking in the evening divine service.
- A refectory. Rest
- After the liturgy and the meal the group travels by ferry to Daphne and changes to the ferry to St. Anna hermitage.
- Departure to St. Paul's Monastery, adoration of the Gifts of the Magi (if desired the group can stop earlier and visit the Monastery of Dionysiat and then walk to St. Paul's Monastery on foot).
- Trekking to St. Ann's Skete.
- Accommodation in the hermitage.
- Refreshment, rest.
- After the Liturgy and a repast.
- Transfer to the capital of Athos (payable locally).
- Accommodation in the hospice of St. John the Baptist.
- Walking tour to Karyes, veneration of the icon "Venerable is", transfer to the Kutlumush Monastery, visit to the Serbian cell Tipikarnitsa and veneration of the miracle-working icon "Mkopitelitsa".
- Return to the Maiden's Hospice.
- Evening service, rest.
- After the Liturgy, walking tour to the Panagudha cell, where Starets Paisii Svyatogorets ascended, walking tour to the Iverskiy monastery.
- Adoration of the miraculous icon "Vrutarnitsa", after which the transition to the Pandokrator Monastery through the Stavronikita Monastery by the seashore.
- Accommodation, meal, rest.
- After the morning liturgy and a communal meal, the transfer (paid locally) to the monastery of Xiropotamos.
- Bowing to the Life-Giving Tree of the Holy Cross.
- Transfer to St. Panteleimon Monastery (in case the monastery does not accept visitors, overnight stay will be arranged at the neighbouring monastery).
- Accommodation. Refreshment, rest.
After the liturgy and the repast you take the ferry to Ouranoupoli (tickets are paid by pilgrims on arrival).
