Elafonisi beach

This excursion will introduce you to the wildlife of the White Mountains and lead you to a fabulously beautiful beach located in South Crete. On the way you will see the little church of St. Sophia. Another stop will be at the village of Elos where you can take a break and have a cup of coffee under the shade of chestnut trees. You will then proceed to the monastery of Chrysoskalitis ('Golden Steps').

The road, which winds through olive plantations, leads you to a huge beach covered with tiny pink sand mixed with coral rubble. Here you will spend the rest of the day before returning to your hotel.
