- Monastery of the Archangel Michael. The history of the monastery goes back more than five centuries, and the main holy relic of the monastery is a man-sized icon of the Archangel Michael Panormitis. The traditions of the local school of icon painting are well represented in the temple's murals, and the jewel-carved wooden iconostasis and magnificent bell tower are noteworthy. The Byzantine Museum, attached to the monastery, has a rich collection of treasures, and the Folklore Museum, set in the form of a traditional Simi house, is also of interest.
